I want to shout!

I want to shout to release the stress from within. Having so much negativity around me kinda drains me out. I can't wait for that moment when I can shout for joy because of something great happened to me!

Waaaaaaaaaaaah!!!

Forever Young

I was at work last week, when suddenly, I remembered a story about a kid who found a man, trapped in a cryonic freezer. Weeks later, the man started to grow old very fast, from dark to white hair, young and tight skin to old and loose skin. That's all I could remember about it. At first, I thought it was an imagination, but when I told my colleague about it, she told me she knew that story as well. Actually, if she didn't knew it, I would try to search, search and search. The thing with me is that when I have something in my mind, like this story, that I couldn't think of, what title, or who are the cast, I will not be able to sleep until I finally have the information with me. Thanks to Google as well.

If my memory serves me right, this was the very first movie that I've ever seen in my entire life. Thanks to my colleague, she helped me remember the title, the cast of characters, and the ending of the story. That same day, I had "Forever Young" on my download list, hoping that soon, I'll be able to watch it again.

NATGEO Earth Day Run

Arrrggghh! I've been thinking really hard if I'll sign up for this or not. I already had a chance to sign up yesterday but I was having second thoughts if I will be able to finish it. The only ones open for online registration until yesterday were the 10k and the 21k run. It's going to be my first time if I'll be joining this race and I will need to condition my body ifever.

I'm hoping my friend gets to sign me up for that 10k run so I could still take part for the said race.

I regret the moment I let this chance passed. Anyway, I still have until April 3, 2011 to sign up via Green Belt 3 cash registration. I'm not sure if I could go there once my schedule changes to Friday -  Saturday rest day but it's going to be okay because the shirts being given to participants are limited edition.

Hoping to join the run in next year's race!

Who is Domo - Kun?

What's the fuss with Domo - kun? I see him everywhere! From stuffed toys to jacket to bags etc. I even see him in TV commercials. It already creeps the hell out of me.

I did some research and found out that Domo is actually a mascot used by Japan's NHK television station. Now I know why he's so famous and everywhere. When my friend and I were in the mall and we saw this Domo - kun stuffed toy, we asked the storekeeper. "Who is Domo - kun?" and their answer: "Uhm.. I don't know, but what I do know is he's a Japanese character". I can't believe the storekeeper doesn't even know a thing about Domo!

Whoever he is, he will remain famous as this large and strange - looking, colored brown creature with saw-toothed mouth that is locked wide open. Now, if someone asks me: "Who is Domo - kun", I know the answer! PEACE! :-)

Starbucks at 40

Wow! After nineteen years, Starbucks decided to start a new chapter of their company - first by changing their logo. It's evolution from brown to green, from full-bodied siren to half-body, and now without the name Starbucks Coffee. It made me wonder what's next? Whatever it is, I'm still glad that they're still committed to bring about quality coffee all the time.

Lassie the Hopdog

This is my dog Lassie. She's one of the two dogs who guards our house. I probably should call her Hopdog because she always hop on us when we go out in our backyard. Even if we are all dressed up like when we go to work, she wouldn't care if we would have a mark of her feet.

We already had a dog named Lassie after the character in a dog movie. Actually, I wasn't the one who named her like that. Her name was given by her original owner. I had the habit of naming our dogs from the time they are given to us. Tell you what, the two dogs we have right now were pre-named by their owner that is why we didn't bother to change their existing names.

I'm also glad that both dogs are in pefect health. I love them both for that even if they're quite afraid of me. haha! I wish I could find some time to bathe them. Those ticks are really annoying especially when they crawl in the wall of our house. Yaiks!

Lassie the hopdog, I guess I should buy a choke chain and teach her to behave. PEACE :-)

Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin

Another telenovela series premiered last night in ABS-CBN primetime block. It is entitled Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin(I Will Only Love You Once) and has powercast like and Ronaldo Valdez, Amy Austria, John Estrada, Lorna Tolentino, Dante Rivero, Boots Anson-Roa, Maja Salvador, Andi Eigenmann, and Coco Martin.

As the poster says, the story will circle around patriotism, love, and family. I'm quite sure that it'll be a big hit! Good luck to the show and cast.

I was able to watch the pilot episode last night, and it turned out pretty good. Unfortunately, I'm not going to be able to watch it daily because I work during graveyard shift. I don't have any intentions of watching it via any video streaming sites even if I have time. haha PEACE! :-)

My Gift Ideas 101: Wish Box (Reposted)

Just last year, I was chosen to be one of the godfather of my nephew Rock Kakenzy. I wasn't really sure on what to give back then. I guess most Filipinos would have to agree with me when I say that they would rather give money than to buy toys or clothes specially if they don't have enough time.

Just few days before the event, I came across the Papemelroti store. I saw this cute little box that says Wish Box. I thought it was a nice gift idea and so I immediately bought it. Amazingly, at the counter area, there were these set of lettered stones which gave me another bright idea. I bought letters that will completely spell out my godson's name.

When I got home, I suddenly remembered that I have these parchment papers that I can cut out to fit in the box. I made at least 12 of them then lined each sides with a dull blue colored curicolor pen to put an accent and to match the writings outside of the box. As a start, I used up one parchment paper and wrote my wish for him. Along with it, I included a certain amount of money inside the box and gave it to his mom so she could keep it for him until he grows up. May my wish come true and may he turn out to be a very good gentleman.

Re: I'm so touched by what my cousin said - that she will be giving my gift when my Godson turns 7 because by then, he can think clearly of what his dreams are. I'm sure all of it will come true. :-)

My Eurasian Collared Doves

Few weeks before my birthday last year, a tricycle driver gave us one Black Collared Dove. He said that he saw it on the side of the road, unable to fly so he kept it. My mom actually asked the tricycle driver to give it to me instead because we have 2 pairs of parakeets as pets.

At first, I was hesitant because I thought they were like lovebirds, that if they don't have a partner, they'll soon die. But you know what? I'm really thankful that it survived until February this year. Just last week, another tricycle driver gave us 3, so now I have 2 pairs of Black Collared Doves. Additionally, he gave their cage for free. He said that he was a bit tired of buying them food, that's why he gave them to us. Little did he know that one of the doves was about to lay an egg. Two days ago, I saw an egg at the bottom of the cage. Though it's cracked, I felt excited because I knew, after few days, it will lay an egg again.

As I woke up today, I checked on them, and I was right, there was another egg. I'm hoping that it will hatch, because I love their cooing especially before I sleep. They really relaxes my mind as I fall asleep. Happy hatching! PEACE! :-)

Carmelite Monastery 14112010

Yin and I attended mass today, we had a couple of plans on what to do, however, she had an emergency with her family. She said that they're going to Subic and it was a short notice. I had no choice so I asked her if it's okay if we'll just attend mass and she agreed.

Just outside the church, after the mass, we came across this vendor of kakanin products, she bought some kalamay and handed a 500 peso bill to the vendor. Unfortunately, the vendor didn't have any change because she was his first customer for that day. And so the vendor asked if it's okay that we'll watch over his products while he look for a change. He took a bit long and we waited for him for like five minutes.

I told Yin that I'll take a picture of her while holding one of the products, so she posed then I took a picture. She was even asking the other mass attendees if they want to buy some tamalis or ube halaya but they didn't bother. But you know what? when the vendor returned, his customers rushed in and bought some goodies. I bet she's not a good saleslady. PEACE!
