Chow To Go, you're my life saver!

Today, my dad went to BIR early in the morning and my mom had severe headache so I was forced to be the storekeeper to our mini convenience store for the whole day. I didn't have breakfast and lunch at all. My stomach was rumbling when I woke up and had LBM. My first aid was Gatorade and it helped along with two slices of Gardenia loaf bread. When it was almost twelve noon, I ate Ridges by Oishi, drank milk, and ate two pieces of tarts. That's what my tummy had until my friend came at 4:30 in the afternoon.

It was already three and I still haven't eaten rice. I texted one of my friends and I guess I got him really worried. After his work, he told me that he'll drop by our house and bring some food with him. I told him "no" but he insisted so I let him. He asked if I want Chow To Go, and I told him to decide.

We ate and I offered him drinks, had a short chat and stayed for almost an hour. I can't thank him enough for dropping by our house to give me something to eat. Well I'm in our mini convenience store and there's a lot of choices to eat, but of course, we don't offer rice meals.

I simply love what friends will do for me in times like these. You're simply the B-E-S-T :-)

Aftershokz: I thought you were just a dream

During the Consumer Electronics Show(CES) back in January 2012, this product was one of the hottest gadgets that was featured during the show. It's cool to know that military technology was applied to this product of Aftershokz. It's my first time to hear and see an open ear headphones for comfortable, healthier and safer listening experience. It means that you can simultaneously enjoy hearing your favorite music and hear the person you are talking to at the same time.

I find this product pretty amazing as the patent pending military special ops bone conduction technology really is unbelievable even if I've been using it for several weeks now. It does let me enjoy my music and audiobooks without having the pain or discomfort in my ears. I had given up using regular headphones since then.

What I have is the Aftershokz Sportz M2 with Mic which costs for $79.95. It was a special gift from my brother and his wife. Well it wasn't suppose to be a gift, because I had problems purchasing one using my credit card which was issued here in the Philippines. I later found out from Aftershokz that they only allow US issued credit cards. I asked my brother's help in purchasing the item, however, upon checking out, he surprised me and told me that they'll just give it as a birthday gift from him and his wife.

I guess it is safe to assume that I'm the only person here in the Philippines that has this kind of open ear headphones. I'm not trying to brag about the idea, as I really think of it that way.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank my brother and his wife for this wonderful and amazing gift! :-)

Childhood Favorite: Iced Gems

Don't you just miss your childhood when you see nephew or niece eating haw-haw, marie biscuits, and our all time favorite ICED GEMS? Considering that we have a sari-sari store, we never really sell ICED GEMS back in the days, that's why I always go out, look for another sari-sari store and buy one or two packs. They've been my childhood favorite ever since. Just recently, I went to the Hypermarket and looked for this tasty treat and I bought one big pack or 10's. Sad to say, they're not of the same taste before. Ingredients used were probably sacrificed due to high cost of flour and sugar. Nevertheless, ICED GEMS will always be my childhood favorite.

There's a rainbow after the rain 08062012

Yesterday, it was about to rain when we got ourselves in the parking lot of Sacred Heart Parish to attend our weekly CLP. It's becoming clearer to me that God has been revealing Himself to us, especially to me, that there is indeed a rainbow after the rain. Thus, there is a chance for new beginning - that is why we believe in the risen Lord. Just imagine that? We could have parked somewhere else, but he led us to that spot to witness His love for us.

Mutewatch, my dream watch

I found this online and fell in love with it the moment I saw it. I kinda have the thing for unusual watches like dial watches which I featured in my previous post. This watch is simply amazing and one of a kind.

Mutewatch costs around $250, a bit expensive for a watch, but if you are really into it, then you wouldn't mind it especially if you have money at hand. Note that this is a rechargeable watch. Meaning, over some period of time, the battery performance may degrade and eventually, won't be able to use it anymore. :-)

To use your Mutewatch, tap the flat surface so the screen lights up. Swipe to the left or right to use and see the clock, timer and the awesome alarm. The alarm will be by vibration. Mutewatch has a built-in motion sensor which triggers an increased intensity with the vibration to let you know of the alarm when you are active like running.

Unlike the dial watch from Lacoste, I hope to have this watch sooner or later. Thus, I can't wait to get my hands on this amazing intuitive watch!

Snickers Slice n' Share

What the?! It's my first time to see this ginormous Snickers bar which is intended to be sliced and shared. Snickers will always be my all-time favorite chocolate bar aside from the California Pralines that I've tasted once.

Fossil™ S+arck O-Ring

I've got a huge crush on this watch. The first time I saw it, t'was love at first sight. My friend was wearing it the last time I visited him. I really wanted to ask as to what brand it is but I rather kept my mouth shut and do some research over the Internet. Lucky enough, when I googled "watch with hole in the middle", it readily gave me what I was looking for.

I'm really fond of unique looking watches. Aside from the Lacoste 75th Anniversary Limited Edition watch that I had crush with previously, this one is definitely on my wish list because it's only for $125.00. Unlike the Lacoste watch which costs around $370.00, this one is more affordable.

Philippe Starck, a french designer recently collaborated with Fossil to bring about the Fossil S+ARCK watch collection. This one of a kind collection are truly amazing and unique in their own style and contour. Among the watches on this collection, I particularly love this O-ring design because of its unique green digital display as it indicates hours with numbers and minutes with black compounding segments. Additionally, it has snug black leather strap frames and a large stainless steel O-ring inlay with precision digital dial. As Philippe Starck say: "You'll never see another watch like it"

Thirty Seconds To Mars - Hurricane

This is the first time I've heard the song "Hurricane" by 30 Seconds to Mars and it's really nice. I like it a lot that it convinced me to download their album entitled "This Is War". Not only that I put it on my iPod, I even put them on my phone coz I can't get enough listening to the album.

Additionally, I also download their first album entitled "A Beautiful Lie", where my all time favorite song "The Kill" is included. Gotta love 30 Seconds to Mars.

McDonalds Nepo Mart Branch now open!

Another branch of McDonalds in Angeles City just opened recently. That's a total of five franchised stores here in Angeles City. Among these stores, the newly opened branch in Nepo Mart is my favorite even though I haven't been there yet.

One reason why it's my favorite is because of the cool ambience. Since it's franchised, it will be the usual menu that will be served, but just outside, it sets the difference. Most probably, the owner is a nature lover. You'll see chinese bamboo, birds of paradise, plants, plants, more plants and a fountain. The water that draws out of the hose and meet in the middle and shapes like M and obviously stands for McDonald's.

I wonder what it's like during night. That fountain will look great if colored lights illuminate the water strokes to emphasize on what it wants to reveal. That is, the letter M. I might as well try to visit this branch one of these days - or nights. :-)

Do you see the huge building in the background? That's one of the very reason as to why this McDonald's Nepo Mart branch was put up. It is said that the building will be occupied by a Business Process Outsourcing company. Thus, a great starting point to increase income once the outsourcing company opens up.

Boyce Avenue - Jabbawockeez - Kris Allen Concert 06022009

About more than a year ago, I went to a concert with my friends. At first, I thought the concert was for Boyce Avenue alone, later did we know that the Jabbawockeez and Kris Allen will be performing as well. It was my first time to go to a concert and in General Admission. What?! Yeah, General Admission it is. Though it was good, we were supposed to leave early but we rather stayed and finished the show.

Before the concert, we left Pampanga around eleven in the morning. This is to allow us to tour around the malls near Makati City. The concert started around eight in the evening and ended up around twelve midnight. After that, we went to a coffee shop because I for sure will not be allowed to go home late, so it's either come home early in the evening, or come home early in the morning. So we went home around three and ate breakfast in Sumpan, Balibago, Angeles City before heading home.

I can't wait for the next time that we'll watch a concert! I'm hoping and betting at least on the VIP seats! :-)

Golden Oreo

Have you ever tried the new Golden Oreo? You should. Unlike the original Oreo cookie, it's not too sweet that's why I love them a lot.

My brother sent us a package of goodies in December of 2010. One of which was the Golden Oreo. I'm not sure if it's already out in the Philippine market because I haven't seen any at Duty Free and Pure Gold. If you do see one, grab one and taste it. I'm sure you'll love it too. As for me, once the Golden Oreo Double Stuf and Golden Chocolate Creme Oreo becomes available here, I'll grab both! Let me know of your opinion about these new addition to the Oreo family. Twist it, lick it, dunk it. So enjoy dunking it with your all time favorite milk. :-)

Predator

These awesome photographs are just some of the photos taken by Jason Paul Laxamana. The location, concept, artist, photographer, and the quality of the photos itself are great. Predator is one of my favorites in Jason’s portfolio.

This collection was brought about due to the model’s need for a school contest he needed to submit. Body painting has been popularized abroad and is a new form of art we have adopted here. Creative direction and composition are the concept of Jason.

..pOor sHelBy

I've had this dog named Shelby, as seen in the picture. She's a labrador given to us by my dad's colleague. She's very beautiful, and I like stroking her golden fur, and cute stance. This picture reminds me the day before she got very sick which led to her death.

I named this dog Shelby because it so happened that I was watching the series Smallville wherein the episode was about two dogs, one named Shelby and the other one whom I forgot the name. One more cool thing about it is, they were injected crushed meteorite which make them really strong, as in they can destroy steel in no time. In the said episode, they were used the robbers to scare their victim and get the safety deposit box of the stores that they are to rob. Well, of course i didn't name my dog Shelby for that reason. haha!

I wish I still have her at home. Some people that I know, and that my mom knows gave us puppies us well, but they are just street dogs, I love them but unfortunately, they died as well. :-(
